MINI/SCENE WORKS – Important information for ‘The Works! 2012′ PERFORMERS

Dear Parents,

Mini Scene Works and Scene Works Students are required as follows and must arrive into the Foyer at DUCTAC promptly at the following times and wait to be taken into the theatre:

REHEARSALS and SHOW TIMES 

May 26^th 2012                           8.30am – 1.00pm (walk thru, full costumes, photographs)

Saturday 2^nd June 2012            8.30am – 4.30pm (after show is finished) **  (tech and dress rehearsal, 2pm show)

**Except Mini Scene Works 2, Mini Scene Works Marina Mall, Scene Works Level

                                                Who are required for an extra gala show and will finish at 7pm **                                        

TICKETS and SEATING

 Your invitation for 4 seats will be available to collect from our office at DUCTAC from May 7^th.  Free Seating.

Additional Tickets will soon be on sale for 75DHS.  Kids’ Theatre Works! will again be making a donation to Harmony House.  Please help us sell tickets by spreading the word to everyone you know with kids!  These will be lovely shows for families to enjoy!

 RECORDING THE SHOW

 We are pleased to announce that we have brought down the price of our DVDs so you can now keep some beautiful memories of your child performing.  These are now only 60dhs and you can pre-order your copy during The Works! 2012 weekend.  These will be available from the office from June 14^th.  No video cameras or flash photography please.

SUPERVISION AND PARENT HELPERS

The Children will be supervised at all times and will not be permitted to leave the DUCTAC theatre.

We require the help of parents to get the kids ready prior to the performances, with hair and make up.  Once the kids are ready you will be free to watch the show.  If you are able to help, please email robyn@kidstheatreworks.com or call 050 158 56 53 and speak to Robyn.

WHAT TO BRING

 We will be sending out further information from May 19^th regarding what to bring with you for rehearsals and on the show dates.

KTW accepts the Keepin’ It Real Award

Keepin’ It Real Award.

Kids’ Theatre Works! are thrilled to be one of the fortunate winners of this year’s “Keepin’ It Real” Award as voted by Dubomedy. To be recognised for all we do in the creative arts space in the UAE and how we use drama to help and encourage children to get ahead in today’s demanding world is a wonderful feeling. We send our sincere thanks to students Sarah Frencham, Alizee Schakal, Jools Middleton, Lily Beynon and Freya Crawford from our advanced Musical Theatre class who performed fantastically on stage during the ceremony and to Hayley for accepting the award on our behalf. A massive thank you to Dubomedy for developing the ‘Keepin’ It Real’ Award.

Registration is now open for our existing students. Please come along to the office at DUCTAC between Sunday and Thursday, 9am till 1pm to complete the process to secure your child’s place in the next term.

New students can register from March 18th…….

Term Dates

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder of our dates for the next 2 terms.

Winter Term courses: January 2nd till March 31st 2012
Spring Term courses: April 1st till June 28th 2012

Youth Showcase: 24th March 2012

The Works! 2012: Showcase dates June 1st & 2nd
(Extra rehearsals 26th & 31st May)

We still have spaces available in our Dramatics 2 course at Marina Mall on Monday @ 415pm but all other courses are closed for this current term.

Tickets on Sale – Kids’ Kabaret!

Hello everyone,

Our Kids’ Kabaret tickets are now on sale.  3 performances by our talented students on December 10th.

Registering for the Winter term 2012

It is nearly the end of the year and we are starting to think about classes for next term.

Existing students can come along to the office between December 3rd and 12th to make their payment to secure a space in the Winter term.

Registration for new students will  begin December 13th.

Our classes fill very quickly so make sure that you mark DECEMBER 3RD  on your calendar to avoid unhappy children!!

Just a reminder that the office will be closed for Eid from November 5th till 11th inclusive.
Classes will resume as normal on Saturday November 12th.
